The ring I purchased from John Cattermole is exactly what I wanted. I specifically went for a designer as I needed a size 4 ring and they are really tough to find in stores. I told John what I was thinking and he sent me computer images putting my words into a ring! The detail on the computer images is large so I at first thought there would be too much detail however I ran with it (because I am certainly not a designer!) I was also unsure about stone color and John was extremely helpful (and patient) as it took me a while to choose! I was nervous to open the box when I got it in the mail but the ring is exactly what I wanted. My very non-descriptive words and thoughts were made into reality by John! Thanks John!

We had a stone that my father-law brought back from Brazil over 50 years ago. He never had it set in a ring as he had given his wife a different stone and that that one set into a ring. So this poor smokey topaz sat in a box. John worked with us and came up with the perfect design for the ring. There is nothing like custom. It is unique and I'll never see it anywhere else. John Cattermole's craftsmanship is truly one of a kind. Basically, he made me a pair of cuff-links out of a turquoise stone and with an unmatched vision. The piece was very close to my heart - i had a turquoise stone that had belonged to my grandfather and i wanted to somehow make them into cuff-links for my brother as a gift for his wedding. John understood what the project meant and he took me through every step of the process; from the cutting of the rock to a workable stone to the design of the metal, and what i got was a one-of-a-kind piece of art that can never ever be duplicated. The beauty of the final product broke my heart with joy. Now i have a slew of new memories associated with that turquoise stone and my brother has a family heirloom that he can pass on to his children. And he did it all without breaking the budget i had to work with. Being able to give that gift to my brother made that Christmas the best one i've ever had.
